BeatBrdg interns work alongside label executives and employees across all functions and areas of a record label, building experience and learning how they work together to drive what are in some cases billion dollar businesses.

Below are some short descriptions of key roles to help you identify the area or function you are most interested in.

A&R (Artists and Repertoire)

This department is responsible for discovering and signing new artists, as well as managing the creative process of producing their music. A&R is a pivotal role in the success of a record label.

Marketing and Promotion

This department is responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies to promote the label’s artists and their music, including advertising, social media, and publicity.

Sales and Distribution

This department is responsible for getting the label’s music into the hands of consumers through physical and digital distribution channels, as well as negotiating contracts with retailers and distributors.

Artist Management

This department is responsible for managing the careers of the label’s artists, including booking tours, negotiating contracts, and handling day-to-day logistics.

Legal and Business Affairs

This department is responsible for handling all legal and contractual matters related to the label, negotiating contracts with artists, licensing agreements, and copyright issues.

Finance and Accounting

This department is responsible for managing the label’s finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

Creative Services

This department is responsible for creating and designing artwork, videos, social media content and other visual content to support the label’s artists, outreach, and their music.
